Sword & sorcery and related fantasy literature (most of all Jack Vance and Michael Moorcock, also Robert E Howard, Fritz Leiber), also weird fiction/horror stuff (Lovecraft, Machen, Hodgson, Clark Ashton Smith and so on).

IF interests are mainly in adventure (fantasy and sci-fi especially): Infocom classics (especially Zork and Enchanter trilogies but also Planetfall and others), Anchorhead, Hadean Lands... There's a lot more on my list to play, and I'm trying to branch out with shorter and more independent IF as well.

I have programmed a rather basic text adventure in Python (at least the parser is basic!), and I'm looking to expand my powers there.

Also interested in philosophy and metal music of all types.
