Highly satisfying short play, September 11, 2012
by Kim Ahmad (Toronto, Canada)

Although it often feels like one-room escape games have been done to death, every so often an original take on the idea comes along, and this is such an original take. The puzzling is fun and, for me at least, hit the sweet spot of feeling just challenging enough, but not at all frustrating. Mastering the commands was surprisingly satisfying. I can't really think of anything to fault the game for, except perhaps the maddening nature of wondering where that last 5% of the score could have come from! Also worth noting: there is a fair bit of intricate non-dictionary typing in this game, so it may not be ideally suited to some alternative input methods.

An absolute gem!, September 3, 2012
by Dida

Suveh Nux is a true gem and my favorite IF game to date! The game is short, simple and uncluttered. It uses a good system of magic, teases the brain a little and entertains nicely. As one of the first IF games I played, I found it a commendable introductory game.

I can't quite put my finger on what I liked best. I reckon the game just made me feel good as I played it. I liked the way the puzzles made me think and though I got frustrated at times, patience and experimentation worked enough for me to not mind. The puzzles were rewarding too. Some could be solved via different methods which I thought was a nice touch.

The magic language was logical and therefore learnable. I loved that because I felt like I was actually learning magic rather than just being told it. Much more fun!

I must say I am very impressed with the way the author has taken such simple ideas and crafted a game that is beautifully done. I can't think of a single thing I dislike about it.

Fun Puzzle, May 1, 2012

I found this game to be a fun one-room puzzle. At first I found difficulty playing but then It became easier as I went along. I really enjoyed this game.

Innovative game, September 7, 2011

I really enjoyed my initial playtime with this game. I had a lot of fun deciphering what magic words meant what, and how I could escape from my trap. Unfortunately, the solution (which I read after an hour of floundering) was a bit more scientific/technical than I had expected. That may not be a bad thing for some, but I have no interest iin that kind of solution -- it was more tedium than fun. Give me a locked door puzzle instead! I also didn't really read anything from the book in the game, which definitely put me at a disadvantage. My eyes glazed over while reading the book (ironic because the entire game is based on reading, I know), so sue me. I guess I am just not a science person.
