About the Story

The bells. The bells!

You left it too late to leave the pub... and now THEY are here. How are you going to escape them this time?

You are in the pub... but you've stayed too long. It's the Pokey End Folk Week in Pokey End, southwest England, and the village square outside the pub has been taken over by a troupe of Morris dancers. You're terrified of Morris dancers! You can't leave the pub now!

Obviously, you can't go out the front door into the thick of the Morris dancers, so you'll need to find another way out before the barman unceremoniously turfs you out at closing time.

A tiny game with multiple solutions, January 3, 2022

This game's central puzzle is to escape the pub. There are two ways out of the pub, numbered #1 and #2; when the game ends, it tells you which of the two paths you discovered.

Solution #2 requires a bit of "guess the preposition" that I felt made that puzzle kinda unfair. (Spoiler - click to show)I don't see why I should have to "look under the tray" to see that it's oriented incorrectly. I think that should have been revealed to me when I examine the tray or something.

Overall, it's a cute little game, and if you cheat on solution #2, it's an enjoyable game for a few minutes of play.

A tiny game, but so much happening. The game is fun and unusual, and I had to look into this Morris madness which was a nice tangent :) The phobia is of course a bit silly but fits the theme and the setting well. And big props to providing two solutions that both are well implemented and logical.
