Using the resources in your surroundings you must puzzle your way out. And yet, this game has a refreshing take on the concept by focusing more on brain teaser type puzzles. (Spoiler - click to show)I’m guessing the sudoku pieces of the formula refer to specific cells - like, (5,5) probably means the number in the center square that’s 5 to the right and 5 up; 5,6 would be the one just above it. And the hint seems like it’s saying there’s a secret clickable section just to the right of the help button to get the solution, meaning don’t click on the button but to the side - does that work? I dunno about the Beatles clue, sounds like there might be a song on the Walkman you mention? Hope that’s useful! Kinetic Mouse Car, August 12, 2022 - Reply "For the Sudoku solution, bring up the puzzle and then click the empty space just to the right of the help icon at the top." Gosh, you would think I would process that. My brain registered "help icon" and the rest went over my head. That's embarrassing. Anyway. You also jogged my mind with the Walkman (spoilers from now on). (Spoiler - click to show) There is super short audio that you hear when you play the tape. I was focused on the "When I get older losing my hair" lyrics. But now looking at the title of the song I see that 64 is probably the value that the formula is looking for. Rows are numbered from top to bottom. Columns are numbered from left to right. Or at least that is what I have been reading when I looked up "sudoku rules" online. Assuming (5,5) and (5,6) is (row, column): > (5,5) intersects at 7 > (5,6) intersects at 5 sudoku(5,5) * 1000 + sudoku(5,6)^2 + riddle(sara) - song(beatles) (7) * 1000 + (5)^2 + (5) - (64) Of course I could be butchering the math. I have not found a combo that will unlock the door but I'm still going at it. At least the game is getting me to think! Your reply was super helpful since it pointed me in the right direction. Thank you for helping me out! dkm, August 13, 2022 - Reply Thanks for your very nice review. I think you very close. Here is the Sudoku part of the formula. (Spoiler - click to show)sudoku(x,y) means the number in row x, column y. Also, the raised 2 means you must square the number, not multiply by 2 Should I post a walkthrough? Kinetic Mouse Car, August 13, 2022 - Reply No need! I tried (major spoilers to anyone reading this) (Spoiler - click to show) 7 x 1000 + 25 + 5 - 64 which gave me 6966. This successfully unlocked the door. And when I opened it, I got this message: "YES!! You walk out the door into freedom." Great game. I had fun playing it. |
