Unfinished, but always on my mind, May 18, 2014by ethnicolor ("Kilkenny, Ireland") I played this game on the C64 when it was released in the 1980s, and never managed to finish it. I managed to figure out what I needed to do to proceed, however I never managed to find the missing piece of inventory (I don't want to leave spoilers) Was this review helpful to you? Baf's GuideA primitive, crudely-illustrated, and mostly linear game concerning a jaunt through a dreamworld - a premise which is probably supposed to justify the game's general incoherence. Has a severe case of guess-the-verb, despite a small collection of verb icons (selectable with the C64 joystick). For example, the verbs "lift" and "raise" are both required at different points, but are not synonyms. A walkthrough is a virtual necessity for making any progress, even with the occasional hints provided by the "help" command. Plays irritating beep music that, in one case, is an essential clue, so you dare not turn it off. -- Carl Muckenhoupt
