About the StoryYou have come to the top of the Eiffel Tower to prevent a catastrophe. Nostradamus's writings have told you that unless you cut an onion with a ceremonial knife before 10 this morning somewhere up here, the world is doomed.

Very short and plain speed-IF (RR #14), November 24, 2012
There is really nothing noteworthy or special about this game, there is no humour or twist that would make it stand out even a little.
The only thing of interest I've noticed was a sentence missing a word ("The fistfight is far too complicated to possible"), but that's it. :-)
The Onion of Destiny is such a diversion. It rises above many of the other entries in this batch by giving the impression of existing in a larger world. To avert the end of the world, the player has to cut an onion with a ceremonial knife at the top of the Eiffel Tower before 10. It's a humorous set-up and feels part of a larger Ghostbuster-esque narrative.
A solid game for being made in an hour.

You play as an archaeologist at the site of the Eiffel Tower. Since it's a day of rest, you dare not do any work and risk being struck down by moonbeams. But you do love to look at the work already done and to walk around shamelessly...
