About the Story

To eat is a subjugation. It is also a prayer, and a theft. It is pressing your body against another Thing and feeling It and You become Them and Us. It is living and dying and a choice all things must make. After your companion passes on the arctic ice, you are faced with a choice: live, or die.

Written for Neo-Twiny Jam 2023, "If I Die, Consume Me" is a 499-word kinetic prose poem about cannibalism, lose-lose choices, and remembrance.

Brief cannibalistic love simulator, July 18, 2023
by MathBrush
Related reviews: less than 15 minutes

This game was written for the Neo Twiny Jam, where entries need to have 500 words or less.

This game is about cannibalistic love. Or hate, you get to choose. You and another, someone who was close to you, or dying on an icy plain. They go first, with leaves you with one option:

to eat.

The game's tone varies from darkly morbid to the chant of 'hungry hungry hungry', and one path provide more effective psychological moments at the end than the other.

To eat or (not) to eat, that is the question…, June 15, 2023

Live or die. This is not a choice you are facing every day, but it might if you are stationed in an extreme environment. Live or die. There are morals that bind us together, but do they matter when one’s survival is at stake? Live or die… But you will always remember…

I will just say this: that choice… DAMN!
