About the Story

Your ordinary life as a body snatching monster is rudely interrupted when a pair of strangers try to ruthlessly murder you. An interactive fiction game where every single choice leads to a different outcome because the creator has no chill.

Made for InkJam2023, which I realized existed about 24 hours before games are due. As a result of this and the fact that the scope outgrew my initial desire for "a quick game where you piece together what is happening by playing multiple routes", it is a prototype.

TW: death, violence, body-snatching, some black humor and tense changes.

It's my first real attempt at an IF game so... thank you for reading this and playing! I hope you have some fun. Created using Inklewriter.

Prototype with potential, November 5, 2023

This game was build in a time-cave type of branching (each choice branches out, potentially to an ending), which means quite many endings for the size of the game. As there are a lots of paths (maybe too many considering the allotted time), many of them felt incomplete or ending abruptly.

The author does shine in the writing, with their vivid descriptions, how thought out the concept chosen was (body-snaching through eye-contact, that's neat and creepy). But it also at times felt distracting and confusing.

Lots of good potential in there, if the author decides to come back to it!
