The Lair of the Minotaur

by Donald Brown

Episode 2 of Eamon
Cave crawl
1980

About the Story

What respectable castle doesn't have a minotaur pit to throw meddlesome thieves into? And you might just be mistaken for one of those thieves. This is one of the earliest Eamon adventures, written by Donald Brown just after the original Beginner's Cave. It is a good example of the style of the first adventures, circa 1980.

This adventure is part of the Eamon universe. Like all Eamon adventures, it is an RPG-style game, mostly using a two-word parser. Because Eamon is a modular system, you may bring a character and equipment from other adventures into this one.

Sparse. Reeeal sparse., December 8, 2010

Extremely sparse Eamon loot'n'kill from system creator Donald Brown, featuring a maze with some monsters and, fortunately, a minotaur. A pleasant easy map, but all the empty corridors you have to traipse through would be tedious if this adventure was any bigger. 'Lair' has one horrible instant death, thus starting a great(?) Eamon tradition. But for the second Eamon ever, this is decidedly alright.
