About the Story

Many and varied are the legends surrounding the ability of some men to assume the shape and form of an animal ... from the tales of the North American warriors who adopt the shape of the majestic eagle, to the Balinese thugs who take on the form of the common rat. But none has attracted more attention down through the years than the one known as ... LYCANTHROPY. Somehow the thought of a man adopting the posture of a wolf has captured the imagination of the masses more than any other and this tale is of one man's struggle to find a cure for this disease ... For that is what it is, a "disease", and one that can bring about the greatest pain and misfortune to the person unlucky enough to suffer from it.

For years you have been aware of your situation and over time you have learnt to adapt to the strange events that govern your life. However, at the back of your mind has been the ever-present urge to rid yourself of this "curse" and to find the cure for the evil disease that permeates your whole being. There is a "cure" ... of this you are certain ... but what it is and where it can be found are another matter entirely!!

Your task is to discover this "cure" and to locate the ingredients needed to prepare it. You will need all your wiles and cunning - as well as the help of a good and faithful friend - in order to ascertain just what needs to be done to eradicate the "curse" for all time.
