About the Story

"Before you can graduate from Harvard in this game, you must complete a scavenger hunt that takes you through a labyrinth of food tunnels, the Harvard Lampoon headquarters, library stacks, and other noteworthy spots on campus." (author's blurb, from The (Other) TADS Games List, version 1.2)

Baf's Guide

A scavenger hunt set at Harvard - supposedly a graduation requirement - with treasures ranging from a picture of yourself to a Gutenberg Bible. The campus is chiefly explored via underground service tunnels. Accurate where it's accurate, whimsical where it's not. Has some good flash-of-insight puzzles and a fair degree of detail. Also has some death without warning and one sequence that you cannot reasonably expect to get through without learning from your death. Features a false maze and hints from characters in the game.

Xyzzy News
If you hate red herrings, be forewarned: probably one-third of the items in "Veritas" are there for nothing but atmosphere, but they do a terrific job of providing that -- I feel like I came away from the game with a decent understanding of Harvard culture, and even Cambridge geography.
