Fun multiple perspective game., January 6, 2015
by Chai Hai (Kansas City KS)

This was a neat little game to play. It was engaging without lavish settings or detailed backstories. You truly cared about making things right with what information there was.

The puzzles were simple and straightforward, I only got stuck once. They could've been more complex, but it fit. The simplicity didn't detract from the game.

I like how author presented multiple personalities at once. I won't give anything away, but it was entertaining to see the other characters' take on inventory and such.

Overall, nice little game, I enjoyed it! My only addition would be an epilogue where they all go out for coffee after everything is over. I would like to see that.

I really wanted to play this after playing Guilded Youth. The request for an epilogue amuses me given how people really wanted one in the in-comp version of GY (some were quite upset there wasn't and thought it ended too soon)--and the author obliged post-comp! So who knows? Though I know he's busy with other stuff.

Oh? I haven't played GY(If I have I've forgotten), but I did enjoy this game so I'm not against playing other games by this author. Do you recommend it? I mainly game surf from the "If you liked this game" at the bottom of the page. Keeps things fresh.

By the way, if you haven't played it, you should! :P

I definitely recommend Guilded Youth. Both these games placed high in IFComp. GY placed slightly higher and--well, it has high production values for a text game. You'll see.

I'm the reverse of you. I don't pay much attention to the "if you enjoyed," but if I see an author I like, I work through what they have. Even the lower-starred stuff. (Not the case here.) I also have marked a bunch of "you may like..." games as ones I want to play.

Also, I'm a sucker for a good title, so I'm kind of random that way. Everybody Dies can mean several things.

I'm also prone to looking at games recommended in Aaron Reed's Inform 7 book. I believe Aaron name-dropped that.
