About the Story

Way back in the mists of time both Dwarves and Orcs lived in peace and harmony, sharing the land and its fruits equally amongst themselves. However a small feud between LIGMI the dwarf blacksmith and TARID a stout Orc farmer escalated beyond belief and great bitterness spread like wild-fire amongst the two nations.

Dwarves took to laying in wait for travelling Orcs and then leaping upon them with drawn sword and sharpened axe. This generally led to retaliation on behalf of the Orcs and over the years a great hatred for each other was nurtured and fed by these skirmishes, until finally WAR was declared by both sides.

Violent battles then took place between the Orcs and the Dwarves and many were slain and left to rot in the dust. Families, in their grief for "lost ones", fuelled this hatred and vowed vengeance on those who had torn their loved ones from them. As the hatred grew and the battles became bloodier, it was inevitable that there would be one great battle ... from which none would come victorious, and sure enough on a cold winter's morn that battle took place. For 17 days the battle raged long and hard, then Krane, the leader of the Dwarves, fell, his skull split with an Orcish battle-axe. In the panic that ensued the Orcs took the "The Golden Bow and the Golden Arrows of Gondor" that had been Krane's favourite weapons and smuggled them away from the battle-field. After many nights of marching they came to the land of ELFINDOR and here they hid the weapons.

Your QUEST is to locate this fabled land and to wrest the sacred weapons from the grasp of the Orcs and restore them to their rightful resting place.
