About the Story

"Not really a game, but the first ever program compiled by Inform; a demonstration of various features of the Inform language." [--blurb from The Z-Files Catalogue]

Baf's Guide

Not the detective story, but rather an odd melange of elements from the Zork Trilogy and the original Adventure scattered throughout a strange linear cavern. Given the date, the author, and the game's billing as an "interactive demonstration," I'm guessing this is intended to show off the Inform development system.

-- R. Serena Wakefield

To quote the author: "This is a fossil, not a game". It was one of the first things to be successfully compiled with Inform, and is therefore only of historical interest.

-- Carl Muckenhoupt
