About the Story

Baron Hador had thought that there was something odd about the man who had collapsed in front of his castle. But, being the kind soul that he is, he took the man into his castle to spend the night.

The next morning it struck him-- The man looked a great deal like Jeeves, the butler of Count Fuey. No one trusted the renegade Count or any of his men.

The Baron ran into his guest room to evict the man, but he was too late. The man was gone, and a quick search of the castle showed that gone too were certain private papers of the Baron's, the crest which signified the Baron's right to rule, and his daughter Tanya!

The Baron has asked you to recover the stolen items and rescue his young daughter. Knowing a little bit of magic, he will teleport you inside the castle where you can search. He waved a small rod and a thick smoke engulfed you...

This adventure is part of the Eamon universe. Like all Eamon adventures, it is an RPG-style game, mostly using a two-word parser. Because Eamon is a modular system, you may bring a character and equipment from other adventures into this one.

EamonAG

This is one of Brown's best Eamons. It is not a complex play, but is simple like most early Eamons were. But the time gimmick greatly heightens the tension. Every move gives you the time elapsed, and I found myself trying to plan how to shave seconds and minutes from my search.
