>INVENTORY - Paul O'Brian writes about interactive fiction

If you're not fluent in a language, how can you possibly craft a good piece of prose in that language? Maybe it can be done, but Lovesong isn't it. Its plot is sorta sweet, but the whole thing is so hampered by the twin burdens of its straitjacketed development system and its badly mangled writing that there's not much opportunity to enjoy anything else about the game.

The first IFComp Quest game; short and buggy quest for love, July 16, 2017

This game is the first Quest game ever entered into IFComp.

You wandering in the first to give a flower to a girl. Then more stuff happens. It is really a teenagerish game (male, specifically), from the plotline to the poor spelling and bugginess.

At least the author was bold by going out on a limb, entering the first Quest game ever.

Baf's Guide

A short, uninteresting story of teenage metalhead love in very bad English. A look at the source code suggests that it was meant to play sound files at certain points, but these are not included.
