About the Story

Life hasn’t been the same for you since that unfortunate night when you stopped to pick up the hitchhiker... who promptly bit you in the neck and cursed you with vampirism. Now your toothbrush isn’t long enough, you’ve taken to wearing long capes about the house, ’going batty’ takes on a whole new meaning, and the FVH (Fearless Vampire Hunters) are after you. All in all, your unexciting existence as a used curtain ring salesman seems heaven by comparison...

Winner of the InsideADRIFT Summer Comp 2006.

Delron Review Compilation
Considering I don’t always engage with the author’s writing style and sense of humour, I was very pleasantly surprised. It’s still not quite my goblet of blood, but it was always enjoyable. The Reluctant Vampire had excellent presentation and, as ever, fantastic use of ALR. There is little in the way of spelling/grammatical errors and I encountered very few bugs (some ADRIFT parser issues confused Maltormo with his painting during the game’s final scenes, but that was all, more or less).
