You Are Here

by Roy Fisher

Literary/Fantasy
2001

About the Story

"Dragons. Demons. Undead. An adventurer's perils are many. But in the world of MUDs, nothing is more dangerous than electronic sex... "You Are Here" is a short, simple diversion promoting "MultiUserDungeon", a multimedia theatre production of a new award-winning play, opening November in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. (For details, see http://www.multiuserdungeon.ca .) While characters and situations from the play make an appearance, the game does stand alone." [--blurb from Competition Aught-One]

Off-Site Reviews

>VERBOSE -- Paul O'Brian's Interactive Fiction Page

[U]ntil I find out otherwise (and given that the game provided no walkthrough, it may be a while), my verdict stands: a clever, interesting game (especially for a promotional work), flawed by some minor errors, a serious design weakness, and a false claim [that it is impossible to get stuck].
