Combat puzzle games - an IFDB Poll

RSS FeedWhat I'm looking for are games that have fights that are ostensibly combat, but the solution to winning the fight is really a matter of solving a puzzle.

Do you mean fights, in general, or can the game have one? E.g. do you mean the person can/should develop a strategy, or is it just a one-off?
If it's a one-off, the Ultimate Final Fight of my game Shuffling Around (Spoiler - click to show)requires no items but relies on the game's mechanic. It's deliberately ludicrous, though, so I don't know if you want that, either.

There was a game called Nine Princes in Amber -- here's a link to a walkthrough.

Take a look at the first couple paragraphs. In it, you would fight and have to provide the combat maneuver you were using against your opponent.
