Editorial Reviews

Baf's Guide

A very primitive reworking of Zork I, stringing text descriptions of puzzles together (complete with their solutions) and giving you only two real choices at each juncture: continue or quit. Continuing is rewarded by a random string of Zork spoilers. Intended as a satire of postmodern IF, and as an artifact it works; as a game, it's playable for the nostalgia value and that's about it.

-- R. Serena Wakefield

Brass Lantern
[...] a parody of the 1999 competition game "Life on Beal Street" [...] It works because it has something to make fun of. The rambling, sentimental prose of the original leaves itself open to parody. To a degree, as the author himself hints at, this is the revenge of every classic adventure game lover who's been forced to play self-important experimental games in the IF competitions for years now.
