Top Notch Haunted House Adventure, August 14, 2011
Eamon was the de facto standard for adventure gaming and D&D style RPG'ing back in the heyday of the Apple 2 computer. Gartin Manor stands out as one of the better efforts of a 250+ adventure catalog. On one level it's a haunted house adventure, but it is filled with neat touches and special programming to reward a careful adventurer, as well as some sly wit.
Your mission is to de-haunt a mansion, and you'd best bring your A-game, as some of the monsters are incredibly tough, and the puzzles can be even tougher. If you survive to face him, your final challenge is quite fun.
This ranks as one of my 10 or so favorites of all the Eamons I ever played, and that's saying something as there are many standout adventures in that now-legendary series.
