About the Story

You are Mike Erlin, 2nd Lieutenant of the Spaceship Stellar Queen. While on a survey mission, you lose contact with your scoutship, the Pathfinder.

When you reach the last known position of the Pathfinder, your own ship is nearly destroyed as a powerful tractor beam drags it down to the surface of a large moon. You then discover that a magnetic field is holding your ship, and volunteer to join a search party going out to look for the source of the magnetic field. Permission is refused but you have your own ideas...
