Bad Weather Friend, April 8, 2012This game is sort of like a Speed IF game (although a pretty well implemented one) in its simplicity and commitment to its gimmick. Playtime is short when measured in the minimum amount of turns it takes to win, but winning for me took a lot longer, mostly because I'm not a good puzzle solver and the game didn't have a walkthrough, but also because certain parts of the game feel underclued. There are objects which contain each piece of information, but one of them was a bit under or even anti-clued, at least, for the first release. You need to (Spoiler - click to show)cut something open to get a piece of paper, but you get a misleading default message (Spoiler - click to show)without the knife. The first bit is (Spoiler - click to show)on the tree in Hyde Park. The author noted this during a ClubFloyd transcript so it should be fixed. I agree that that put a huge dent in my fun, but fortunately I stumbled on the right way to do things when I replayed it just because I liked it. Molly, April 17, 2012 - Reply I already knew about the (Spoiler - click to show)clue in Hyde Park but the (Spoiler - click to show)paper is totally new for me. What exactly do you need to (Spoiler - click to show)cut to get it? Andrew Schultz, April 17, 2012 - Reply The (Spoiler - click to show)voodoo doll. You can use either knife to cut it. |
