About the Story

A nameless graveyard near the ruins of Bahyrst has become a wellspring for all manner of dark creatures. Legends hold deep in one of the crypts lurks an evil presence. It exerts a malign influence on the area, and yet possibly pursues even broader goals. You have joined a quest to determine the whereabouts of the once-powerful sorcerer Jaldi'al Dhassei - now feared to be a lich - interred within its borders.

This obscure Eamon debuted in 1988 on the Atari ST under the title "The Crypt Crashers and the Tomb of Horrors." It has been thoroughly revamped, polished, and rebranded in the modern port to Eamon CS. While the original game was largely a programming exercise, this version expands on that complexity while providing a more rounded storyline. Only high-level characters with powerful gear should tackle this game, as it is intended to be one last adventure before retirement. (A pre-made character, Thiles Clawspire, is available for use if you like.)

Editorial Reviews

Eamon Wiki

Crypt Crashers is not seeking to reinvent the wheel. But it is overwhelmingly strong in its execution and attention to detail. I'll detail one such detail, though the reader will surely notice a host of such facets when playing the adventure.
