On the plus side, the first puzzle's actually quite good if you cut away the misleading responses - I like the idea of dealing with a situation when you (apparently) have nothing that can help you. This, however, is not enough to rescue the game.

I tried to like this one (I really did!), but even after finishing it I felt I had virtually no grasp of the world the author was attempting to create. It's fantasy, of course, but aside from the introduction, there is virtually no text to help players learn more about the world around them. Most rooms are empty and useless, and many of them have obscure pop-culture jokes that appear hopelessly out of place.
