About the Story

You are a senior military officer of Cinethra, an impoverished kingdom being attacked by a much larger and richer neighbor. You must decide how far you are willing to go to save your kingdom, or whether to save it at all.

Not to spoil too much of the game, but there are 3 story branches where you turn traitor, 2 story branches where you continue fighting for Cinethra, and one story branch where you become a monk. And it is possible to make either Cinethra or Japreth win the war, so your decisions actually do matter beyond just whether or not you survive. It now contains 5 different songs as well.

This is not truly historical, despite the tag that someone added. Also, if you are going to leave a bad rating (less than 3 stars) please leave feedback so I can improve future games.

Commander's Legacy, December 31, 2016

Having played the game it gives the opportunity to start over and change the options selected. Some of the options appear to be moral choices versus a military choice with less morals. Some are good options.
It has a dark overall aspect but that can be because of the war nature of the game.
A very good strategy game for making decisions and seeing the results.

Dark, yet interesting, December 29, 2016

An interesting game examining many moral dilemmas in a corrupt war torn world. Sometimes it is tough navigating in a world that cares nothing for people making it a dark, but entertaining game.

Games featuring music by Karl Ove Hufthammer
I have always thought that music has a huge potential for enhancing IF, more so than graphics has. So what are the best examples of IF games that use music? Note that this poll does not include games with only sound effects; they have to...

Games with multiple endings by tggdan3
Obviously not counting "death" as an ending, but non-successful ends can count if there are other successful ends. Variation in endings should at least vary the ending somewhat (as opposed to be an extra word or two).

Games Theoretically but not Practically Beatable on First Attempt by Floating Info
I'm looking for a very specific level of difficulty: a game where you theoretically could beat it on your first attempt, but you won't. At some point in the game you'll fail, but that point may vary from person to person, and when you...
