Well written, funny, parser-based interactive fiction., October 4, 2015If you enjoyed Hunger Daemon or Chlorophyll, waste no time -you need to play this one.
Funny, great setting and characters, but most importantly a fully formed game, reacting well to player interaction with the environment. Fun, challenging, and sensible puzzles.
Short and funny IF diversion, January 29, 2015I really enjoyed Lost Pig, so I thought Id try one of Admiral Jota's other games. This one was an entry in "The penultimate not numbered Speed IF", which appears to have the rules of - no real rules, just spend 2 hours making a good IF game. This is a pretty impressive result, in my opinion. Decent humor, good overall response to most of the things I could think of doing. It was an enjoyable 20 minutes of gameplay. I'm interested in more work by this author.
Interesting characters, sensible puzzles, and just fun to play, January 29, 2015I've played a lot of interactive fiction, and Lost Pig stands out, because it was really fun to play from start to finish. The interactions with the pig and other characters in the game are enjoyable. The descriptions, written from the perspective of your curious, observant, but not-so-literate character, are quite funny. I felt myself sink into the character I was playing very easily. The puzzles were interesting, and made sense. This is a really well designed game.
One puzzle near the end gave me a little trouble, and I was appreciative of a built-in hint system which, invisi-clues style, would only give you as much help as you needed.
